Bailey Group prepare their clients for Making Tax Digital with free seminars

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]There is now less than 40 days until the Making Tax Digital (MTD) deadline, and with this set to be the largest change in tax since self-assessment, there has never been a more important time to educate yourself on MTD.

From April 2019 all VAT registered businesses with a turnover greater than £85,000 will be required to keep digital VAT records and submit their returns digitally.

Over the past six months we have been running free-to-attend seminars to help prepare our clients for the challenges of MTD. Our seminars have given our clients all of the information needed to understand MTD as well as giving them an insight to what we are doing as a practice to prepare ourselves.

As a practice we believe passionately in supporting the businesses we work with, and whilst a lot of firms have decided to just offer clients software with no additional support, we have created a full-service that will provide our clients with a complete solution for MTD.

The solution we have created for clients has been designed to meet all of your business needs, and includes:

  • A mobile scanning system that will come to you and digitise all your invoices and receipts in under an hour
  • Complete access to IRIS’ award-winning cloud-based KashFlow accounting software.
  • Access to our app, that lets you upload pictures of your receipts and have 24/7 access to your accountant.

Our seminars have covered the key facts around MTD as well as giving our clients the opportunity to see the solution we have provided to them in action.

Chris Bailey Chief Executive of the Bailey Group said: “Our seminars have been really well received by our clients, when we found out that MTD was coming in we thought it was really important to meet with our clients face-to-face so we could be sure that they had got all the information they needed to prepare themselves for MTD.

“As a practice we have also been undertaking a significant digital transformation to ensure we are set-up to meet the challenges of MTD, as well as future-proofing the firm.

“We’d suggest that all of our clients come along to the seminars as MTD for VAT is just the start, with income tax becoming digital from April 2020.”
