Chris Bailey,

Chris Bailey is a Chartered Accountant who has been involved in the Accountancy industry for more than 30 years. Bailey Group Chartered Accountants was set up by Chris in 2004 and has grown to become one of the largest independent accountancy practices within the North East.

Amber Hill,
Group Audits and Accounts Manager

Amber has a degree in Business, Accounting and Finance and is a qualified accountant. She has worked at the Bailey Group since October 2019 and has significant experience in providing meaningful management information to enable businesses to make informed decisions and brings a variety of experience across multiple industries.

Alice Stephenson,
Manager – St Albans

Alice joined the Bailey Group in 2019 and has over 30 years’ experience in accounting, working in both practice and industry. In addition to holding various management accounting roles in industry and practice, Alice has completed a BTEC Business and Finance qualification and is a licenced member in practice of the Association of Accounting Technicians.

Nigel Hudson,
Manager – Peterlee

Nigel started working for the Bailey Group as our Peterlee Practice Manager in 2017. Nigel has over 25 years’ experience and is AAT and FCCA qualified.

Anna Cook,
Manager – Peterlee

Anna has worked for the Bailey Group since 2015. She has over 20 years’ experience and is AAT qualified. Anna originally started as a Senior Accountant in our Peterlee practice until she became the practice manager in January 2016.

Adam Dorgan,
Manager – Redcar

Adam joined the Bailey Group in October 2014 and has worked at both our Peterlee and Sedgefield offices, before becoming the practice manager at Redcar in 2017. Adam is a qualified accountant with 22 years of experience in the Accountancy profession.

Emma Bell,
Manager – Billingham

Emma has worked for the Bailey Group since 2014. Emma started at our Peterlee practice as an Accountant technician and later moved to our Billingham practice to become the office manager. Emma is AAT and part ACCA qualified with two years industry and 8 years practice experience.

Holly Paton,
Manager – Gateshead

After starting as an apprentice in 2013, Holly began with preparing small sets of accounts and tax returns progressing to preparing larger limited company accounts and providing tax advice to clients alongside managing the Gateshead office. Holly is AAT qualified and is currently studying towards her final ACA exam.

Howard Sanderson,
Manager – Scunthorpe

Howard joined the group in 2019 when we acquired our 9thpractice, Scunthorpe. Howard is AAT qualified and is a member of the association of international accountants (FAIA). Howard has been awarded the Post Graduate Diploma in Charity Accounting and has a of Bachelor of Arts in Education & Training.

Louise Lavery,
Sedgefield Manager

Louise has worked for the Bailey Group since 2013. She has 13 years practice experience and is ACCA Qualified.

Martyn Penney,
Operations and IT Manager

Martyn joined the Bailey group on a temporary basis in January 2016 before permanently joining the team in April 2016. Martyn is AAT qualified with an industry background and has experience in credit control and project reconciliation.

Rachel Cameron,
Group Account Manager

Rachel is a Business and Finance graduate and has worked for the Bailey Group since May 2015 and is AAT qualified. In addition to looking after the day to day finances of the group and providing real time information to the Chief Executive, Rachel has experience in payroll, management accounts, year-end accounts, budgets and completing board papers.

Alex Forster,
Marketing and Events Executive

Alex has been working for the Bailey Group since July 2018. Alex bridges the gap between clients and employees, making sure both stakeholders are at our company’s heart and best interest. Alex manages the groups Marketing and Events whilst also looking after the groups Graduate and Apprenticeship program and sourcing suitable candidates to join the Bailey Group.

Carole Matthews,
PA to the Chief Executive

Since joining the team in 2019, Carole positively contributes to the professional profile of the Bailey Group. She has a BA in Arts and Humanities, German and Chiropody, and her previous experience involves being a Personal Assistant to Chairmen, Principals and Managing Directors.
